The Bahamas: Green Turtle Club

Here are some pictures from the Green Turtle Club, on the island of Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. This is from our Honeymoon in the Bahamas November 2001. The Green Turtle Cay is a gem of a place to stay: nice accommodations, nice view, friendly staff, and excellent food. Click on a picture to receive a larger, higher quality version. Enjoy -- Jim

Here are some pictures from around Green Turtle Club. Our visit was not too long after the "9/11" terrorist attacks on the US, so occupancy was remarkably low. This just made it all the more peaceful. We decided not all allow the attacks interfere with our plans.
A view down the club's beach. The bigger building you see is the screened patio for the restaurant. Next to that is the registration area.
An umbrella on that beach.
... and a friendly dog.
... and me.
The resort's dock (on White Sound).
The main way to get to Green Turtle Cay is to fly into the airport on Great Abaco island and take this water taxi to either the Green Turtle Club or to New Plymouth.
Small fish in the harbor.
The resort has a pool with lounge chairs.
View of White Sound from the pool area.

Some pictures from the villa that we stayed in at Green Turtle Club.
The outside.
The private deck.
Views from the deck.
A couple shots from inside our nice room.
Next to the villa.
A small lizard we meet the first day.
