Here are some pictures from Coco Beach, which is a short walk from the Green Turtle Club, where we were staying. It is a nice and quiet beach with a nice setting... one of my favorite beaches.

A panorama of Coco Beach. This image was build out of 5 photos using PhotoStitch. 1800x314 and 5144x896 versions are available.

This scene is also available as a Quicktime VR movie (1.2 MB), in which you can rotate around and zoom. You may need a Quicktime viewer from Apple to see this.

Some small fish in the cove.
Down the beach. A small dock was present.
Composite picture of the opening of the cove. The cove opens out to the Abaco Sea, though it doesn't quite point to Great Abaco island.
I believe this is what is locally referred to as conch, the national food of the Bahamas. I enjoyed the local preparations of this food that is roughly like clam.

We stopped by Ocean Beach one day when we were walking to New Plymouth. As you might guess by the name Ocean Beach, it is on the side of the island the faces the Atlantic Ocean, with the breaking waves that goes along with that. The walk from the Green Turtle Club to the town is not short (perhaps 3-4 miles each way) but we found it pleasant.
15 second Quicktime movie of wave action.. Click to load and play (4.2 MB).
Looking down the beach.
Another 15 second Quicktime video clip of waves breaking on Ocean Beach.. Click to load and play (4.2 MB).
The ocean view from the road, near the beach.

Some pictures from Gillam Bay. I believe we stopped by here one time when we had rented a golf cart.
Gillam Bay is on the New Plymouth side of the island.

Here are some other pictures from Green Turtle Cay that didn't fit elsewhere in the 3 pages about Green Turtle Cay.
A local house that is near Green Turtle Club.
I think this is part of White Sound.
A hawk.
Claire said that this scene reminded her of Pampanga Province in the Philippines.
Black Sound I believe.
